The Origin Of Mass

I like this, both visuals and the music.

QUOTE:
“This experimental video was created as a final project for my procedural animation class at Savannah College of Art and Design. scad.edu It was inspired by demoscene and sub-atomic particle collision images. The name comes from the Higgs Boson prticle which is expected to provide a scientific foundation for the origin of mass in the universe.

My special thanks goes to professor Ronald Bernard and Puryx aka Christian Rønde who let me use his music for the soundtrack.”

Mumford and Sons – Little Lion Man

I was in New York last March checking our mate Dougie from the Temper Trap’s set up the road from where I was staying on the Lower East Side.

Headline act for the night was “Mumford and Sons” and they were awesome, had a very folky, country feel about them but the songs were real toe tappers!

They are a four piece with a banjo, double bass, guitar and piano. Guitarist also played a kick drum.

Anyway I love this song and the rest of their tracks.

I also noticed they are now getting radio play over here.

Free EP!

Shadows Make Flight’s self-titled EP is to be released 28 August at the Hopetoun Hotel, Surry Hills. The EP has a mix of emotive songs being brought to life through their soaring vocals, intricate layering of sounds and pop sensibilities.

The EP recorded entirely by the group and Val Calocerinos at The Sound Basement shows not only an attention to detail but a love of the finer details in recording with layer upon upon layer delicately constructed with a fastidious approach.
The recordings, having taken over 6 months to write and record, have taken a life of their own and show a maturity in the song writing abilities of the 5 piece.

All guests will receive a free EP on entry, and t-shirts will be be available for purchase on the night.

Doors open at 8pm…

See you there.
